How my wellness journey began…
Hi and welcome to Lydie Hüsler Coaching!
I’m Lydie , I am a mum, wife, and a Certified Holistic Wellness Coach. My Health & Wellbeing (H&W) professional journey started in a way when my daughter was born. Nothing juicy here, this is the kind of common story where a woman’s life become out of balance when she becomes a mother when the baby arrives. I believe, until I went back to work (8 months after Mila was born) all was still okay. But then, I went back into the stressing work routine, with my daughter to take care of, the household chores and work and all the related mental load. I became quickly overwhelmed by stress. I also became angry, and was snapping at my husband when things wouldn’t go my way at home. All my duties became too much; at home and at work.
Then, I slowly started to do things for myself again. Integrating a few restful & self-care activities such as naps during the weekends. Or play a dancing game on my own during the week.
Around the same time almost, I started to want something new at work. Something outside of my Quality & Compliance role. I was becoming slowly fed up with my job. I had interest in something else but was not really sure what could I do after 15 years plus in Quality!
Then, my boss at that time assigned me a project on Health & Wellbeing for my Quality community, as I needed something new. I was up for it without being fully convinced about it. After first discussions with the team, nobody wanted to take the lead, so I volunteered, and it was the best experience of my working life really. Since, I am leading a new program every year.
Thanks to this project, I discovered a new me, creative, inspired, full of ideas, curious about anything related to H&W. Trying new things like workout apps, meditation, mindful walk, writing posts at work, creating animated videos, searching for data on H&W. I was also hosting webinars myself or having experts as guests, loving each single piece of it along the way.
My training:
I received my accredited education as a Wellness & Life Coach through the International Association of Wellness Professionals’ Wellness Coach Certification Program. The IAWP is an international organisation that supports and trains holistic professionals and coaches to create wellness careers in order to inspire people to make healthy changes and create balance in the life areas that matter the most to them.
The IAWP coaching process is called the CORE Coaching Method which supports my clients to not only reach their goals but create lasting changes.
Holistic Wellbeing is so much more than just exercising out and eating a balanced healthy diet. It goes beyond that and connects all areas of our life: the physical, mental, emotional, social, or spiritual areas and many more. A holistic approach to our wellbeing is fundamental to live a healthy lifestyle.
Thanks to Holistic Wellbeing, you get to take back control of your life. You will cope better with stress & anxiety and any other Health & Wellbeing challenges that you may have. You will build your Resiliency Muscle to be ready to face adversity when it comes knocking at your door.
Moreover, complementing my certification as a Holistic Wellness Coach, I am also an ensa First Aid Instructor, able to provide Mental Health First Aid (help & support) to people suffering from a mental health problem. I teach the program to new first aiders, equipping them with useful tools to detect mental health distress signs in others, to know how to respond by understanding when & how to help them and get further professional help.
Recently, I earned my diploma as a Menopause Wellness Coach, enabling me to support my clients through this challenging transition with greater confidence and grace. At 43, this course held personal significance for me, not only as a Holistic Wellness & Life Coach but also as a meaningful step toward understanding my own wellness journey ahead.
